A battle is being set up between the four majors (Sony, Universal, Warner, EMI) and Apple as the goal behind their two new audio formats is the same: re-launching digital music sales by offering consumers real added value.
On top of the 10 titles or so usually included in an album, the user would access attractive supplementary content (illustrations, lyrics, videos, mobile applications…).
